Tamara Matysiak-Budnik graduated at the Medical School in Wroclaw, Poland in 1986. She completed her post-graduate training in internal medicine and in gastroenterology at the University Hospital of Gastroenterology in Wroclaw. She had a research training in the Research Unit of Alcohol Disease at the University of Helsinki in Finland, and then in INSERM (French National Institute for Health and Medical Research) in Paris, France. She is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Gastroenterology in Nantes, responsible for the Digestive Oncology Unit. Her main research interest is focused on Helicobacter pylori, celiac disease, digestive oncology and new endoscopic techniques.
